The Conservatives seem stronger on domestic issues like student loan repayment issue plus others.

Though with any luck Kemi Badenoch will u turn like Farage has on the Iran issue, given today’s events.

As long as Rachel Reeves is Chancellor the Labour market will be a bit stuffed.

Without even mentioning how Ai adoption will worsen the situation with youth unemployment at 16.1% already. Which has increased since Labour’s first budget.

The long game for the Conservatives should be to focus on the economic message plus potentially a return to levelling up policy as a way of winning back those in the Red Wall areas who have temped by Farage and Reform UK.

Though this will require some ideological flexibility from Kemi Badenoch and pragmatism.

Though another another glaring issue the Conservatives have is a current inability to touch reforming the state pension triple lock.

If they want to make it a more affordable system, one way to do it could be to move to a double lock by linking increases to the state pension to CPI inflation rather than the earnings index which is what it its annual increases are linked to.

Whether reform to the triple lock would ever happen given past Conservative reliance on the older generations is another thing entirely though.
