British people disliked/hate technocratic leaders like Sunak/Starmer and fawned over twats like Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage.

Says it all really. Then there’s there issue who was the better technocrat of the two, I can’t see Sunak having introduced the national insurance contributions increase plus other employment and wage policies that made it harder to employ people throughout a good chunk of 2025.

Rishi Sunak was right person for the wrong time.

Keir Starmer, should have have ran the 2024 with an honest platform rather than saying practically nothing in order to play it safe, rather than say a Rejoin EU policy or even the Single Market/Customs union at the least.

He’s wasted too much time and political capital by hanging onto Reeves throughout 2025. The debate about a slow or fast pace to the EU is redundant given the strength of  the Greens and how they have allowed to gain a polling foothold by Keir Starmer’s tortoise like pace on the..

EU issue with some alignment here and there rather than a bolder position to win back people from the Greens and Liberal Democrats to get Labour’s polling backs above 30% or even higher if that could be done. Who knows maybe if post May elections, if things are dire, Andy Burnham.

Might make a challenge and articulate a far bolder EU policy, whether its a new Referendum on  the EU issue with Rejoin EU v the current Brexit TCA.
