EFTA/EEA might be better than full rejoining the EU, Keeps the pound and something of an independent trade policy.
Its a fantasy to think we could have the old opt outs like Denmark has, the main thing we offer Europe is the trident system, a fair number of typhoons and intelligence support. Which we could potentially use in negotiations to twist arms perhaps.
Maybe like EEA like Norway in EFTA would be better as we keep the pound + in the Single Market.
I really think that rejoin EU polling needs to include a question on support for adopting the Euro or not to give a more honest picture of where things would stand.
